Who knew Cafe Fusion in Mississippi would have gelato to content with Italy’s? Hello gelato dinner!


Instead of the traditional minced meat base of this Brit fave, we tried Trader Joe’s beefless ground beef sautéed with many many mushrooms and onions, adding frozen peas the last few minutes. Top with just-made mash, bake for 20 minutes for a nice crust and bubbly goodness seeping up the sides. Top with some sharp cheddar and broil for 3 mins. While baking, why not roast up some halved brussels sprouts. Mmmm. Now that’s a fall meal at it’s finest, with minimal suffering involved (pun quite intended).
With eggs this creamy and yellow from Grampa and Lucille’s chickens, I’m seeing a chicken coop in our future ;)
